One Month at Carolina Beach – Snow’s Cut RV Park

I have just finished one month at Snow’s Cut RV Park here at Carolina Beach and thought this is a going point in my stay to summarize and jot down my thoughts.

I reserved a spot here in November not long after I placed my order for the Travel trailer. The advertised rate was $100/night or $850/month plus taxes. My concern at the time was that places will book fast since the pandemic has spurred the demand for RVs and places to park them. This place was/is in the process of transitioning from a trailer park to a RV Campground and is also expanding the number of sites available. Given that this is only the second campground I’ve stayed at I find it difficult to evaluate other than to say that it met my needs. The place was quiet and everyone I spoke to was pleasant and helpful.

I chose Carolina Beach for several reasons. I am considering retiring here once my travels come to an end plus I had hoped to get a start on Spring by heading south and this was a success on both fronts. I was able to get a good feel for Wilmington area plus the weather has been wonderful.

Wilmington has a well earned reputation on several fronts. There is a lot of water around here. Not only is there a lot of beaches but the Cape Fear river is large and there are several lakes that have been nice to visit.

The Hoplite Irish Bar is a great place for some good food and the house soup is really special as well.

I never visited this place but I was told this place is an excellent dive bar where those in the know congregate.
This is an interesting place to visit. The have a large beer room filled with numerous brands and styles and you grab a can or bottle and pay for it and then find a place to enjoy it. The outside was spacious and quirky but nice enough.
